Role

The role of the Counterparty Risk Review Assistant reports to the VP of Counterparty Risk and is responsible for the efficient, accurate and timely set up and completion portions of the counterparty review process for new and existing clients. This includes the set-up of new Counterparty Sellers in our systems, creation of folders, uploading of documents, capture of minutes, system updates, completion of Counterparty related documents.

Accountabilities

  • System set-up of new counterparties
  • Complete system updates to capture specific seller data, Counterparty decisions and status.
  • Complete Approval letters and seller agreements for both new and renewals
  • Complete seller information on agreements and send for signatures
  • Monitor timely execution of seller agreements
  • Monitor Counterparty email box to ensure timely response to inquiries.
  • Assist in developing and reporting of current volumes, turn-times, and overall inventory of counterparties.
  • Complete Counterparty information in Salesforce
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of mortgage counterparty risk processing experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Required Skills/ Abilities

  • Knowledge of mortgage production process and mortgage compliance landscape
  • Experience with mortgage counterparty risk management, audit, or quality control a plus
  • Experience working in Comergence or other counterparty system desirable
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Experience working with Salesforce advantageous
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to independently complete multiple time-sensitive tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team environment
  • Desire to grow and develop with the team and organization

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift to 10 pounds at times
